Artist: Wild International
Album: Wild International

*****

These three mates are barely old enough to drive but they have an uncanny ability to make music with energy, hooks and fusion of sounds. Guitar player Ryan Camenzuli plays his instrument with ease and shows off influences from Americana, indie rock, alternative and experimental genres. Drummer Bryan Daly can put you in a trance while Greg Coffey’s bass playing rivals the kind of cats who’ve been doing it for decades. If you really want to get “Wild”, see if you can catch them live. They’ve got a strong following and can captivate their audiences like pros!

Artist: Reckless Place
Album: Innocence is No Excuse

*****

I heard samples of these guys online and I had to buy their album. It’s got hints of glam rock from the 70s and 80s, but with a more modern, heavier feel, appealing to current musical palates. Tracks feature sick guitar solos, thumping bass lines and hard hitting drums that remind you of concerts that you may have attended back in the day, or stories of them. Add lead singer Cunio’s mind-blowing vocals and you’ve got the perfect combination of a band. Few humans have the range and style in the voice that he has. Steve Perry, Freddie Mercury and Adam Lambert were able to pull it off. Cunio gives them a run for their money with modern-day attitude. I’ve got my eye on these guys. A “must have” for fans of both classic rock and modern alternative rock!

Artist: Matt Lowell
Album: Second Storm

*****

It might be because Matt Lowell has the right look, the right style, the right band, the right voice and the right lyrics, everything just feels right. You’ll get a little taste of pop, soft rock and maybe even country when listening to this EP. But if you want to see him bring more to the table, go see him live. He’s got a great stage presence and a fun groove!
